Hi Bruce, thanks for the reply!
I put another 15 miles on the new TB with stock z-tube today (now have
about 25 miles all together)
No more idle problems, couldn't get it to stick at 1000 RPM. PCM must be
re-learning after resetting it.
The squealing noise does seem to be disapating also, still faint though.
I have the following mods on my truck:
Stock 3 inch Z-tube with 9 inch Pro-flow filter (rubber flap removed)
Dual 2 1/2 inch Flowmaster Cat-back exhaust
Jet Chip II
IAT Adjuster (still playing around with this being off/on with the chip)
Robert Shaw 180 T-stat
Autolite 3923s
Royal Purple 5w-30 syntehtic oil (just added with the new TB/IAT adjustor)
I'm actually thinking of upgrading to the 4 inch custom Z-tube.
Bernd is getting a price check on just the tube with the needed adaptors
for my 9 inch Pro-Flow filter end and mating to the new 70mm TB
(I'am worried with clearance issues with the A/C lines and hood, with the
4 inch custom Z-tube, perhaps having just one adapator my help with the
angle of the tube)
I will continue to put more miles on and onbserve the idle, squealing, and
potential performance gains. (I did go out and re-align the Z-tube/filter,
plenty of clearance all around now)
Thanks again.
