Go into Windows Explorer, click on printers, highlight the
printer you wish to share, right click on it, open
properties, click on the Sharing Tab click on the Shared
Box.
I don't know about sharing a file, but to share a drive,
highlight the drive in explorer, right click on it, open
properties, click on the Sharing Tab click on the the Shared
Box, enter a name, this is for identity on the network.
This works for me and the wife! Good Luck.
