On a 2-4 drop on my 97 dakota v6, auto. 225-70-15s will rub on the factory
15x8 rims if I hit a EXTREMELY nice sized dip in the road.

Personally, I thought the truck looked awesome with 235/60/15s and the 15x8
rims. and a 2-4 drop. It's just a nice aggressive look, but it didn't help
in the winter...

I now have 18" rims with 245.40.18s in the front and 275.35.18s on the back
and no rubbage.

I'd say anything over 27" of total tire height SHOULD rub on a few
occassions. Just check the specs through tirerack.com and see how "tall"
each tire is.
