I took my Dakota down to the dealer this morning, because the rear end noice
is a concern. The differential fluid was replaced, with the synthetic
type.Road tested the Dak...still the noise.
A different tech drove it,then put her up on the lift, while the other tech
ran her up to speed.Listened with a stethascope, and made the determination..
Worn Pinion Bearing.
Am going in on Wednesday to have it done.It will be under warranty, even
though i have 37,780,because the condition pre-existed before 36,000.
