Just brought my Quad Cab home from the dealer.
The ring & pinion were replaced,as where all the bearings.
The mechanic(who i trust),said the bearing looked like new,
and said the noise was from the gears. He said, the noise may come back in
25-30,000 or so.

Cost?.It was under warranty.Cost at Warranty was $663.15,and retail would
have been over $1,300.

As far as noise now??

Virtually none.No noise heard at all from 0-70mph.Maybe a little when the
throttle is backed off.

I was taken care of really well.
