The t-stat should not make a difference in the heat that comes out in the
passenger department (other than when it's initially warming up). Once the
temp of the coolant reaches the t-stat's advertised temp the t-stat opens up
to allow water flow to cool it down to the expected temp. Once that happens
it closes again. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference between air
flowing over 180 degree coolant vs air flowing over 195 degree coolant if
your cooling system is working properly.
