I did this on the Laser today... installed a LED in the gauge cluster (or
anywhere) then wire the LED into the knock sensor circuit... whenever the
knock sensor starts pulling timing, the LED will light up.
Not only is it just plain radical, also costs less than a buck to make =)
One can use the information (obviously) to know if you're using too low an
octane of gas, etc, etc...
