Like I said, if I had the money to get a reliable truck I would do that....
let me see if I can list common Dakota problems I've seen on this list.

1. Transmission
2. Brake Rotors Warping
3. Rear Ends
4. Computer erroneously telling EGR valve to stay open
5. Intermediate Steering Shafts
6. Wiring Bundle Failures
7. Cab bolts and bushings
8. Windshield Wiper motor failures
9. Fan Speed module failures
10. Ball Joints
11. Almost completely inaccessible oil filter
12. Engine Pinging.

And I'm sure I'm missing a few.

Of these problems I've only personally had #4, 5, 7, and 8. Along with
replacing almost every seal and gasket on the engine and differentials, the
fan clutch, radiator, thermostat, speedo cable keeps popping off the
speedo, 4wd indicator sensor, and starter. I've only had this piece of
junk for 10 months, and it only has 135,000 miles on it. Most other trucks
are just starting their life with this many miles on it.

Bye,
Ray
