Thanks Bernd. I've got the OE fan back on (went on a lot easier than it
came off!) and after the initial bout of fan roar (hey, it was stored for
13 months, it had to wake up), everything seems to be in order. I'll check
the nut before heading to work in the morning just to make sure it doesn't
fly off.
I had forgtten how much power the fan robs. Even so, I think I'm going to
stick with the original fan. Things got a little warm too many times this
summer.
