Hey, Geoff!
Mangaflux is a term used by metal work inspectors to determine if there are
any hairline cracks in ferrous metals, those whish would not be obvious to
the naked eye. A steerl or cast iron part is taken into a "darkroom", coated
with a magnetic penetrant & then magnetized by an electrical sharge. When
looked at under a black light, hairline cracks & porosity will shoe up as
small yellowish colored indications...
HTH.
BTW, I know somebody else already mentioned it, but I just got my new issue
of Sporttruck & I'd like to add my kudos to Chris & Kathy Carton for getting
the CRUZNLO pic accepted. They had the DAK at the Valley & it's one sweet
ride!
Way to go! CRUZNLO!
