Glen,
thanks for the response, especially coming from a user of a different brand
of huffer than represented in the article I'm talking about. I'm always
skeptical of these types of claims from magazines... especially if they have
some major ads in the rag they are being bragged on.
After reading some of the responses to my post (Yours and Tom Slick's in
particular), I'm going to assume that the horsepower "gain" is in direct
correlation with the reduction of detonation, which allows for a better
"boost" from the supercharger.
What I still wonder is.... how well would they work for those of us that are
plagued with detonation without boost? My 318 pings like crazy if I don't
run high test in her. I know that many 4.7 owners have the same problem, as
do many OBDII 318 owners.
Once again, I doubt the horsepower numbers too.... just asking the group if
they have any experience with these things!
