  I wouldn't lose any sleep over it though. I've run out of gas in
my Dak before, and haven't had any fuel pump problems. (Did it on
purpose to see if I had a low fuel light.) :-) Anyway, that was back
in late '95 or early '96 and its been fine. I also habitually run the
tank down to fairly near empty before filling up, never had a problem.
  That's not to say you won't have a problem, but its not like you're
guaranteed to have fuel pump problems just from running out of gas
once.
