Isn't the OEM rear sway bar mounted to the rear axle with bushings that are
bolted to flanges that are welded on the rear axle tubes? Those that didn't
come with the rear sway bar would not have these flanges. JCWhitney sells a
complete rear sway bar kit from Helwig for the Dakota for around $135. Have
one on my 98 CC 4x2.

Some dakotas didn't come from the factory with a rear sway bar.

To the person ADDING? the sway bar to his truck, Make sure it comes with
the mounting accessories, and the sway bar end links :)

I must have missed something. Why would you replace the sway bar on your
truck
with a stock one. Aren't they the same thing?
