Hey guys,
I took my truck through emissions tonite, and as you probably guessed,
it passed. I was kinda worried, since most of my mods are not "emissions
legal", hehehe. I live in Maryland if anyone's interested. Here are the
results:
HC
State Limit - 1.0 GPM (grams per mile)
'99 Dakota - .4106 GPM
CO
State Limit - 20.0 GPM
'99 Dakota - 7.7268 GPM
NOx
State Limit - 2.50 GPM
'99 Dakota - .4884 GPM
CO2
State Limit - N/A
'99 Dakota - 465.3847 GPM
What I find very interesting is that under "Tampering Inspection" they
list the catalytic converter as "N/A". I also noticed that they never
bothered to look under the truck to see if I had one. I guess they figure
with OBD-II, you have to have one or the check engine light will come on. I
guess they've never heard of the cat-box :-).
