>From what I understand - almost all 1-bar map sensors have very similiar
characteristics. They consist of a pressure-sensitive disc which converts
manifold air pressure into a voltage signal (GM and Chrysler) or a frequency
signal (Ford) for the PCM. Ours turns this pressure into a voltage reading 5-0V
representing 0-100Kpa or 0-20inHg. Its a very linear curve also. You can
verify this by using a hand-held vacuum device like a mity-VAC (or is it
mini-VAC) to map out the voltage -vs- pressure. Only minor level shifting
should be required to match our factory type perfectly. Thats simple enough.

On to the interface w/our throttle bodies. Thats even simpler because it is
functionally only connected via a small vacuum hose. Two screws hold the map
sensor assembly to the throttle body unit but this is not neccessary as long as
the hose connection is intact. In fact - mine has been connected that way (hose
only - no screws) for several years w/no problems.

That only leaves the harness connector - you guys have that one figured out
already right? Didn't someone say they found a source for the factory harness
connectors?

So whats the problem?

Shane
