Does not seem to be to bad, hope they fix it. I have hit two so far,
both fawns so I have been lucky, also both stayed in front of the
vehicle, the first in a mini van, not much damage, was drove it back to
the office and was back on the road the next day. The second was in a
Caprice(Old police crusier), I was taking a bend, the deer was beside
the road in a field, I scared it, she took off running, and I rounded
the bend and cut her off. Have pics of that one, but not scanned in,
punched the front of the car in, lights, grill, rad, the legs went under
and cut the tranmission cooling lines, therefore had to get toed back.
Actually, very funny story leading up to and after hitting the dear.
Did not loose my job either time, but the second time I was being parked
for being bad before the deer incident. I drove a cab while in college,
I was having a very bad night. I was surprised that the airbag did not
go off in this one, it was a 91 or 92 I believe, but when I hit the
deer, I just picked her up and threw her when I hit the brakes. Did not
even get the deer, between the 20 minutes dealing with the police and
the tow truck, someone else got her.
