Last year when I switched from 3.55 to 3.92 (SG) in my 8 1/4, I had
them put in Amsoil 75w90 synthetic at the same time. It contains
a friction modifier so none was added. I probably drag race more than
most weekend 'warriors' :-) No problems to date.
