first, where the heck did ou get the concept that all the parts/materials
came from the US? Not even US corporations use 100 percent US parts. Second,
90 percent + of the steel used to build the plant came from overseas, not
even mentioning the other building materials. Even public buildings, which
are required to use as much US steel as possible, only manage about20-30
percent US, not to mention the heavy equipment inside the facility. I've
been in 5 different automotive production facilities and have yet to see one
that has American machinery inside (usually Daewoo, Komostu, etc.) and that
doesn't even mention things like computer equipment and electronics. Now lets
take into consideration the level of tax abatement we had to give the Japs to
get the to set up shop here. Or how about all that middle eastern foil we are
so dependent on that is used to keep everything going.
But lets just go back to your number $2,500 to Japan or $2,500 to the US per
car
I choose $2500 to the US
I Didnt start this thing to offend anyone, but my basic point is still
proven. At a time when our nation is calling upon its people to do as much as
they can to support our economy $2,500 per car seems to me a great
contribution even if it means some self sacrifice (usually vanity and/or ego)
Unfortunately the concept of giving of ones self for the greater good, even
if its only a little bit, is a concept that is dead with most people in this
country, but not with me!
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!
THE GREATEST NATION ON EARTH!!!!
