I just downloaded and installed Netscape 6.2 and immediately went to
Speedtweaks. No problem what-so-ever accessing any page/link. This was with
the default settings.
On a related note, I went to http://www.speedguide.net/index.shtml and
installed their generic patch for Win98. My cable modem speed was 657Kbps as
tested by http://webservices.cnet.com/bandwidth/ (I normally run between
630 - 680Kbps). Well, after installing the patch I now get 2472Kbps!!!
Woohoo!!! I downloaded the 11.xxMb Netscape file in about 10 seconds. If you
have a cable modem or DSL, I highly recommend this site.
