A few years ago,I found some dye/paint at Walmart that
was translucent,I think it was for stained glass. I
used it to turn my Pioneer car stereo bulbs purple. It
was kinda cool looking,but the stereo had a blue aura
coming off of it that would give you a headache! I
have not been able to find the dye/paint since,and no
hobby or craft shop around here ever has any either.
Maybe Walmart is carrying it again now. What I used
worked OK with low wattage stereo bulbs,but any bulb
that got very hot would not have worked with it.
