Ed, I always seem to miss bad tornadoes when I get down in central Texas.
One time I was when I going through Temple when that tornado hit Jerrell. I
knew I might be in trouble when I saw a DPS Trooper up on a hill looking at
the storm with his binoculars. Terrible what happened to all those people
in Jerrell, and I was lucky not to get caught in that one.
I had gone to Austin week before last, and there were tornadoes all over the
place there. Fortunately my family lives in Round Rock and Cedar Park, and
they just got rain there. I've been real lucky so far... just have to knock
on my head once in a while for insurance!
BTW, wasn't California supposed to fall into the ocean by now? ;) Better
get back to Texas, Ed!
