Since there is always a certain amount of water remaining after a
flush...enough to activate the antifreeze (antifreeze needs a small amount
of water to 'work'..I have always topped of the system with straight
antifreeze after a complete system flush (prestone flush kit)...I have never
had a heating or cooling problem being a lifetime Northeasterner.
