Jon, I know where you're coming from! I have to give all my LT1/LS1 buddies
a bunch of crap whenever we're working on thier General Maintenance(GM)
junk. I did a water pump on a '96 LT1 T/A a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't
believe what 62,000 mi. had done to the cooling system! The water pump was
so corroded that when I dropped it on the shop floor- it kind of, well,
shattered! Oh yeah, and at the parts store where I work, ACDelco DEX-COOL
coolant is $16.99/gal. Prestone green stuff-$5.99! I'll stick to what works,
thank you- especially at $17/gal! GEEZ!

they also say it has better corrosion protection... I've lost count of the
#of freeze plugs I've seen corroded out.. on cars w/ <80k miles on them!

Just sharing my experiences... Dex-cool is some foul nasty worthles CRAP!
