The battery temp sensor (the round "plunger" on the bottom of the battery
tray) measures the temperature of the battery and adjusts the amount of
charge depending on the temp. Colder temps = more charge. I don't know if it
would trip a MIL if something was wrong with it or not, but I imagine it
would.
