Not if you own the Jiffy Lube and want to get people back in as often
as possible. Otherwise you're safe to go at least 5K miles or more.

I'm sure they wanted to do whatever they could get you to pay for :-)
An engine flush gets rid of built up deposits in the engine. The
higher the mileage of the engine the more likely an engine flush is to
cause a leak. Personally, I've never had that happen, but it is
possible. I think an oil flush just gets rid of the old oil (more than
just draining does). It's totally unnecessary.

Did you find out what the charge would be before having the work done
or did you just walk in, open your wallet and say, "Help yourself"?
Did we learn a lesson from this experience?
