I enjoy the need for speed also, though it has been
awhile since I have had the fun you all are
mentioning. As a matter of fact it has been since
1983! 1: 130mph plus in a 1976 Volare Roadrunner w/a
built 318, 4spd o/d tranny, and 2.94 rear gears in S.
CA. It took a little while to get there
though!!(that's before I built a 340 for her and
changed out everything but the driveshaft!, then not
so much top end, but she sure got there a lot
quicker[hi 13's in the quarter]) and 2: 150mph plus in
a 1969 Dodge Charger w/a 440 Auto and 3.23 l/s rear
gear in MO.
