The additive package in NE gas is different. Colder temps and EPA emission
regulations in the NE force the gas companies to create a different mix. CA
typically has the same issue. What it amount to are less BTUs per gallon,
meaning less energy output per gallon, which means that you get less milage
per gallon.

Subject: DML: BAD milage
>OK, I just drove across country and got an avg gas milage of 300 give or
take. Now I'm in Conneticut and I'm seeing about 200 per tank. What gives?
Where should I look for a problem? Cap and rotor? Isn't there a winter gas
aditive? Will it do this? The Dak is a 97 4x4 5.2 with K&N FIPK, Gibson
headers, Gibson cat-back, JET stageII, MSD wires, 3923's and 180 T-stat.
Mostly city miles. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks...
