power locks

I have a 99 Dodge Dakota and have a question concerning the
factory power door locks. I was involved in an accident in
October and the body shop replaced the passenger door with a
used one. Now, when I hit the power locks, the passenger
door has to be closed for it to lock. It was never like
this before. Doesn't matter if I use the remote keyless fob
or the power lock button. The drivers door works fine.
Power windows work fine, door open or closed. So, did the
body shop mess up something?
