The layout of the 1997-2000 gauge face is different from the 2001-2002
gauge face. Daimler-Chrysler only put 6000rpm tachometers in the
1997-2000 model years except for the models made at the tail end of
2000, some trucks got 7000rpm tachometers - all 2001-2002 trucks have
7000rpm tachs but again, their gauge face is different (again, another
way for Dodge to fubar the aftermarket accessories market, since all of
the D's are rev-limited below 6000rpm from the factory). NR Auto and Nu
Image only use 6000rpm tachs on their 1997-2000 designs (both now have
2001-2002 gauge faces available). While the 2001-2002 gauge faces have
7000rpm tachs, they aren't backwards compatible. Only some generic
indiglo company makes a 2000/7000rpm gauge face, and I've only seen it
on e-bay a handful of times.
