The 7" is more than plenty for the V6 (even Supercharged).

A long time ago, I took ont his project and ended up buying a filter
which appened to have no hose clamp on the bottom of it... now I am
ready to purchase a real filter for my intake. I got the 90degree bend
and the 3inch abs plastic... my question for you guys is what would be
good for me?
I like the intense performance filters, but would it be overkill to put
a 7 or 9 inch filter on it? its only a v6, and I know after a certain
point it probably hinders ability rather than create performance.
