I went through this when I was shopping for a truck. I called the dept of
transportation safety dev. to ask the same question. I was told that if the
babyseat base is not on the seat at least 80% it is not safe. I traded my CC
in for a quad cab,I didn't worry about lost money when it came to my Childs
safety. Besides, the quad cab is great.
