Has anyone converted their auto tranny dak to a manuel set up? We are
thinking about trying this on a friends 97 v6 auto dak. He has in his
possesion a ax-15 tranny, complete clutch linkage, master and slave
cylinders, pedals, shifter, and drive shaft from a 93 dakota. I figure the
driveshaft wont work due to the spline count in the gen3's rear being
different. But will everything else? We also have the tranny crossmember
from a 93 but havent taken the measurements to see if it would work or not.
I figure the pcm from the auto will be ok for the time being, it just may
throw a few codes since ic cant detect the tranny. What about the speed
sensors and such? Will the switch over to the ax-15 or will we need to get
new ones. This is just in the planning stages right now..trying to figure
out hom much work it will be. Any input is appreciated

Thanks
greg
