Replace your timing chain, alternator belt, and check the hoses. This is an
area that always over looked and could be a fatal mistake when failure
occur.
I usually check the O2 every 15000 miles with heavy usage driving and NOS
Octane boost..

Subject: DML: O2 Sensor Question
I have a 98 dak with the 3.9 v6 with 126,000 miles and I am about to give
the truck a tune up. The guy at the auto parts store recommended I change
the oxygen sensor. Is this a part that should be replaced for maintenance
purposes, or was he just feeding me a load of bull? I don't see a big drop
in my MPG's, but at this point I would change it if it was just maintenance.
P.S. Any recommendations for spark plugs?
Thanks,
