The best way to check your mileage is to make sure you fill up to the
same station each time, at the same pump, with the same grade fuel. Automatic
fuel nozzles differ a little at each pump and can vary as much as .2 gal. but
it'll be close. Then go for the old math. After doing this for a couple of
tank fulls of gas. Compare your figures with the computer. If the difference
is the same each time then you know how far off the computer is.
