What year 318 are you referring to? The pre-67s were completely different,
but may have soldiered on in heavy trucks.
IIRC from my MoDot days, the truck engines were different from the car
engines, similar to the 366-427s in Chevy heavy trucks. No comparison.
We had some D-700s with 361s in them-they had angle plug heads, while the
car versions were straight in parallel to the ground.
My truck was a D300 with 360, auto and Dana 4.10s in it. What a rocket! A
few of the locals got to find out, too!
