Very good point. But, IMO we as customers (me, for one) expect the schmuck
to know something about automobiles in general. There have been a few
comical parts searches posted in response to this topic. Sounds like it's a
fairly common occurrence. Many times they don't know the difference between
a spark plug and a b__t plug.

I got sent for a pot of steam once when I was on my first Boy Scout campout.
You know, the old initiation deal. They handed me a pot with lid, and sent
me on my way. I went to the troop camped the farthest from ours, and asked
for some water. They were nice, they gave me some, and I walked back to camp
past all those troops, as they were laughing at me, knowing what i had been
sent for. I just smailed and pointed to the pot. Upon my return, everyone
was laughing until I removed the lid. Seeing the water, they said they asked
for steam. I told them it condensed back to water! Word got out quickly
about that one, and I don't think anyone got sent on that search for a
while.

That's how it feels sometimes going to parts stores.

It's time to get spark plugs for the Dak, and I have no idea what are in it,
but I'm going to assume they are Champion N12Y or N13Y (been a while since I
wrenched on any MoPars), as the previous owner (my employer) had them
installed at the dealer. Tell ya what I'll do. I'll go to the Zone for them,
and ask for the Autolites by #. I know I'll then be subjected to the drill,
don't know why, but I will. If my experience is positive, I'll gladly say
so. One gentleman posted they are working to remedy the situation, so I
guess I should at least give them a chance.
Time for the oil change, too, may as well get the oil and filter (NOT Fram,
but Motorcraft or Purolator). Let's see how well I do looking up the part #.

MMMV
