Over the past two years I've been listening to everyone whose original
factory battery has failed. Now I know how it feels. When the battery
goes, it's not a steady downhill kind of thing. One minute it's working
great, the next it's deader than a door nail. I mean DEAD!! It went from
14.7 volts to 6.5 volts....and the green glow indicator was still aglowin'.
For those that check this indicator, it's only for that particular cell.
The other 5 could already be bad and you wouldn't know it until the truck
don't start. Good thing I was close to home. I bit the bullet and replaced
it with an Optima Red Top....ahhhhhhhhhh no more worries for a long while.
