Mechanically, the Dak needs a pretty hefty freshening. Aside from the 4.7
and its companion tranny, the drivetrain is largely unchanged in many
years. On top of that, if they want to keep competetive with the other
trucks out now or coming soon, the suspension needs at least a slight
warming over, and at some point, a big change to chassis design for
strength/stiffness (like hydroforming).
A cosmetic overhaul may help, but the underpinnings need to get work too.
