I've got a 93 V6. I thought I only had one O2 sensor before the cat...am I wrong?

And if I inserted a piece of pipe to let everything flow straight through the hollowed out cat, I'm sure things would be louder, but would they just be louder or deeper also. I am running with a 3" Dynomax Super Turbo system if that helps any...

Thanks,
Mike S.
