After the initial installation, you'll have to re-tighten the belt
again. It needs to be fairly tight otherwise it will slip.

Anyone with a VORTECH, PAXTON, or
POWERDYNE Supercharger kit experience any problems with belt slippage?
The problem I have is not related to the Supercharger or the belt
tensioner that came with the kit, but I believe with the belt itself, it
seems to stretch, and then slip limiting the boost the Supercharger is
producing to just 4 1/2 lbs.
