I just got word that Mopar is creating a new M1 2bbl intake manifold that
will be for 97 and newer 5.2/5.9 Magnums only. For some reason, they are
stating that the current manifold will only work on 96 and older engines (we
know this to be untrue since myself and many others have this very manifold
on 97 + Daks and Rams) whereas the new manifold will be for 97 and newer
models. The only thing I can guess that would change would be the
elimination of the EGR port and possibly the inclusion of the installation
kit with the manifold instead of it being a separate item.
Anyone with a tie to Mopar who can verify any of this? Sorry, but I do not
have the Mopar part number for this supposedly new manifold or any other
details.
