The FIPK will provide slighly better performance if you have no other mods,
these engine want cool air. If you have extensive mods the open element is
the way to go. I think that the open element is only beneficial if you have a
highly modded motor or something with alot more displacement and TB flow
capabilities such as maybe a 408 with the MP 4bbl TB. I'm running an open
element on a pretty well modified 5.2
