It's 800 RPM's difference between the two. 2002 Ram Brochure, Dimensions and
Specifications page:

4.7 litre (287 CID) V8 240 bhp @ 4800 RPM 300 lb-ft torque @ 3200
5.9 litre (360 CID) V8 245 bhp @ 4000 RPM 335 lb-ft torque @ 3200

5.9 has 5 more bhp, and 35 lb-ft torque. 800 RPM's difference when it comes
to bhp, and same RPM's on lb-ft torque.

Yeah, but did you look at where that power is made? The 5.9 makes it's
horsepower and torque at lower rpms than the 4.7 and in my opinion is better
suited to the Ram. And the 5.9 makes 10 more horsepower (245 vs 235) and 40
more lb-ft of torque (335 vs 295).

I love my 4.7 but I owned a Ram and would never put in a Ram. Too much
weight for a motor better left to lighter (Dakota) sized trucks.
