Was it the WHALE WING version (this is a twin turbo model)?

Subject: DML: Trooper Running Rough and Spanking a Porche
I realize this is slightly off topic but I thought some of you on the list
with more knowledge then me might have an answer.
My son's Isuzu Trooper is running rough between 1000 and 2000 rpm's. Any
thoughts on what might be causing this.
Dak content: My gutless wonder spanked a Porsche off the line and up a
freeway onramp. I know, you find that hard to believe so I'll tell you the
story. We were sitting in the double left turn lane on Topanga Canyon
waiting for the light to change so we could turn on to the westbound on-ramp
to the 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway for those Reaganites among us). The
Porsche was in the left lane and my Dak in the right lane. The light turned
green and I popped the clutch and stomped down on the gas. By the time I had
made the left turn my rpm was up to 5 grand and I shifted into second. The
Porsche had barely started off the line and didn't have a chance of beating
me to where the on-ramp narrows to one lane. I've added this race to my
earlier conquest over the pedestrian, skateboarder and bicycle rider.
Of course I did leave out just a few minor details: First: I doubt if the
Porsche driver knew we were racing. After my experience with the Vette, I
generally don't let my competition know that I'm racing. Second: When the
light turned green there was a twenty foot U-Haul in the intersection
blocking the Porsche from starting while I snaked around the back-end of the
U-Haul. Third: The Porsche passed me like I was standing still as my Dak was
straining in fourth to it get up the hill and maintain 65 mph.
But hey! Those are just minor details: I BEAT A PORSCHE!
