Ken,
Have you checked with your insurance company? My wife's windshield in her
car recently developed a crack. I talked with our insurance company. It
turns out that they pay the total cost of windshield repair.....I didn't
even pay a deductible. I think there is some type of law requiring this,
but I'm not sure if it's just state specific. You might want to check. Oh,
and I don't have any special insurance either....just the bare
minimun....not full coverage or anything.
