The RSAs aren't great, BUT then there isn't a perfect tire out there for us.
TOO much low end torque, and TOO little rear end weight = limited traction
in the wet.
There are several options for traction devices for our trucks. CalTracs.
Lakewood slappers, Competition engineering has a recently released product
as well.
Personally I have 2 sets of CalTracs on my 3 RC Daks. I NEEDED a set on my
98 5spd with the 4500 rpm launches I was pulling. I have a set on my 99 R/T
as well. They aren't the easiest install, but IF you have a lift you can
use, and a press, 2-3 hours gets them in. (I would recommend going this
way, unless you have impact wrenches at home). With the auto, you won't see
much of a difference in ETs at the track (~ .02 - .03), but will generally
be quite a bit more consistant if your goal is bracket racing. IMO, unless
you are experiencing wheel hop, and just cannot hook up, go with other mods
first.
