Canucker,
Each gear will dyno differently. You'll most likely see you maximum torque
in 1st gear, and you maximum HP in 3rd gear. If you want to see the real
picture of what your engine and tranny are doing, you'll need more than a
one gear dyno run.

Subject: DML: Dyno Results

Well guys, I just got back from a chassis dyno test....it's all in MPH as
they didn't have a tach pick-up compatible with my truck (they usually only
do diesels). The hp curve is essentially linear from start to finish. The
torque curve is essentially flat with one hole b/n 43 & 54 MPH and then a
spike b/n 54 & 69 MPH where it peaks at 282 ft-lbs. The part that bothers
me the most about the test though is that the HP only climbed to 130 hp!?!?
That translates to about 160hp at the engine if I'm not mistaken. Anybody
else dyno their trucks (stock) with similar results? The 4.7L is rated at
235hp I know that. What gives?

Also note: they dyno'ed it in 4th gear from idle to redline. It made me
smile that there was a whopping 250 ft-lbs when punched from idle (well a
little over idle at about 1200rpm)!!

I'll send the test in excel format once I convert everything over to RPM if
you guys want.
