Ron,

Yes...the cam in my truck is a new (factory) cam that was reground with
more aggressive lobes.

If done right...regrounds are just as good as new grinds. This has been
done for many years with excellent results. It's the "El-Cheapo"
reground cams that you have to watch out for...these can be found in
many of the Auto-Parts Store "Remanufactured" engines. (Stay away from
those or ask for a new cam in that case.)

I have an old article of Sport Truck and Mopar
Muscle Magazine on Dakota modifications that states
that the stock camshafts for Magnum engines can be
reground with a performance profile which would save the
cost of a new cam purchase. Has anyone on this list done
this and if so where was the cam sent to have this done?
Or is this something NOT recommended to do?
or should I bite the bullet and buy another cam for my 5.2.
