Why are you overfilling your oil? This will blow most of your seals and
cause them to be damaged and leak. "Normal" is where your oil pressure
should be...why are you concerned with it being where it should be?
MobilOne is a lower viscosity than MOST, (notice I said MOST, not
all..so don't start emailing me), dino oils. It is not surprising that
your oil pressure MAY show to be a bit lower, especially in hot
temperatures as the oils thin out. Do NOT overfill your oil at ALL..

I changed the oil in the 4x4 over from conventioanl oil to Mobil 1
10-w30 synthetic. This is the first summer I have had the 4x4 and have
never driven it in heat before. My problem is the oil pressure
lately has been just in the normal range. Lower than I think it should
be. I checked and I was low on oil for some reason. I added a two
quarts of oil to it which brought it up one quart over teh full line.
(grumble) I'm wondering if I am using the wrong type of oil. is 10-w30
too thin for summer driving? Its almost time for me to change the oil
again, so I want to get it right.
