Well, I got it done. I wired it to the battery via a 50 amp breaker and
relay. The manual override works, the temp sensor works as well. Ran it at
idle til temp came up in the driveway. The manual switch brings it right
back down to sit on the themostat setting (180). Went for a ride with the
A/C cranking, and the switch off. Its about 92 out right now. And it kept
it well within normal operating range. I shut er down, and the fan
continued to run for a minute, then shut off. ;-) Next big test is heavy
afternoon rush hour traffic (Monday).

I plan on changing the wiring to kick the fan on when the A/C is on as well.
That'll just be another trip wire to the relay. In the meantime, The Flying
Eggplant is back up and running.
